Daniel D’Andrea Obituary, MELBOURNE, Australia — Daniel D’Andrea, a devoted husband, loving father, respected businessman, and dedicated community volunteer, has died on 22 July 2026 at the age of 57. His passing has left family, friends, and the Melbourne community mourning the loss of a man remembered for his generosity, commitment, and care for others.
Daniel was the beloved husband of Melissa and a proud father to Mia, Alannah, Arno, and Louis. Family was at the heart of Daniel’s life, and he was known for the love, encouragement, and support he gave his children throughout every stage of their lives. He took great pride in celebrating their achievements and being a constant presence for those closest to him.
Daniel was also widely recognised for his connection to the local community through his family business, Rocky’s Fruit and Vegies. He proudly continued the legacy of the business founded by his father, Rocco D’Andrea, in 1935 on Garden Street, South Yarra. Through his years of work, Daniel built lasting relationships with customers and colleagues, earning respect for his kindness, integrity, and dedication.
His contributions extended beyond business as Daniel became deeply involved with the Fairhaven Surf Life Saving Club alongside his wife, Melissa. The couple had been active members of the club for more than 25 years, with all four of their children participating in the Fairhaven Nippers program. Daniel also volunteered as an Age Group Manager, helping support young lifesavers and families within the club community.
The Società Isole Eolie (SIE) shared condolences with the D’Andrea family, remembering Daniel and his family’s longstanding support of the organisation. The family’s Rocky’s Fruit and Vegies truck played an important role in community gatherings, including serving as the stage for the club’s annual Seaford Picnic.
