Aiken County Accident Update — Colby A. Brewer, 21, was killed Friday morning after a single-vehicle crash on South Carolina Highway 302 in Aiken County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:27 a.m. Friday on SC 302 near Farmer Road in Aiken County. Authorities said Brewer was driving when his vehicle left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation.
According to preliminary information released by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road before striking a culvert and overturning. The impact resulted in fatal injuries to Brewer.
Emergency responders were called to the scene following the crash and found Brewer suffering from injuries sustained in the collision. Officials confirmed he was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were reported to have been involved in the crash, and authorities said no additional injuries were reported. The incident remains classified as a single-vehicle collision.
The circumstances that caused Brewer’s vehicle to leave the roadway have not been determined. Investigators with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to examine the details surrounding the crash.
